Did you know that with your support we have been able to provide education, medical care and other necessities of life for the people of Beau Sejour?
Did you know that in order to provide a connecting road that this would be a tremendous cost and engineers would have to tell us if this is even possible?
Did you know that our trip to Beau Sejour in May of 2008 meant that our team had to climb up the mountains to get to Beau Sejour and it took about 5 hrs of on foot travel?
Did you know that our medical mission was a great success and we were able to establish an ongoing medical clinic with a doctor who is from Haiti traveling once a month to Beau Sejour to provide medical help to the community?
Did you know that in June 2009 a team consisting of Dentist and associates went to Beau Sejour to provide dental work? They saw approximately 240 people and performed 1100 extractions. This is the first time any of the people of Beau Sejour ever saw a dentist. There is a great need for dental care.
Did you know that with your support we were able to collect over $50,000.00 for our brothers and sisters in Haiti in the 2008 year and again over $60,000.00 in 2009? Wow, we really do have a great supporting parish.
Did you know that you have been able to provide over $11,000.00 in educational sponsorship which provides education for 140 children and this is for the 5 schools of St. Gabriel's parish?
Did you know that with the funds sent to Beau Sejour we have been able to help rebuild the medical clinic and repairs to the schools after the damage done by the hurricanes?
Did you know that we have been able to provide money for them to have a water pump to pump water up to the village?
Did you know that we are again planning to send "Hearts for Haiti" down to the people of St. Gabriel's and this is our 3rd year doing this?
Did you know that there have been many deaths and injuries as a result of the recent earthquake in Beau Sejour?
Did you know that because of the recent earthquake the church, the rectory, the medical clinic and the one of the schools have been destroyed?
Did you know that in making a donation to St. Gabriel's you just have to put your money into a Haiti envelope and it can be put in the collection or dropped off at the church office? The cheque should be made payable to St. Margaret Mary Parish and marked Missionary Co-op Haiti - Education or Medical Supplies or New Rectory or New Road. We will then be able to designate where you want your donation to go to. If you are sponsoring a child for education then you will have to complete a sponsorship form for privacy reasons and they can be obtained from the website or the office.
